California’s Response by the Numbers
Cal OES continues its mission alongside partnering agencies to support counties across the state, responding to COVID-19. During this pandemic, Cal OES has shipped out millions of N95 masks to multiple front-line sectors. This continuous effort helps jurisdictions stay safe during these unprecedented times.
Here are the latest numbers as of August 11, 2020:
I am in Butte County………how do I receive a N95 mask?
Thank you,
Better late than never. Since the state recommended masks and since many counties and cities demanded wearing masks, I wondered why they don’t distribute masks which are hard to find in stores. Where were or will the masks delivered? To what organizations? How will they be distributed? Who will be informed and who will be not informed? I see many events of distributing different products pass unnoticed or one finds out by coincidence when noticing a long line of cars somewhere. Furthermore, from my past experiences of volunteering in some of those organizations, I say the ones in the inner circle keep the best on the side for themselves and distribute the stuff which is passed half life or not recommended for human consumption. Why not the state create online form, so people have time to find about it and fill the form? Than the state mail them directly to households via USPS which will also help the struggling postal services?
